Some of the latest Nissan line-ups are equipped with a technology called e-POWER. E-POWER technology is an innovative technology that is able to provide benefits such as pure electric cars (quiet, instant acceleration and environmentally friendly). Without worrying about recharging battery data. This innovative e-POWER propulsion system represents an important milestone in the electrification strategy.
E-POWER technology is part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) vision, which focuses on Intelligent Driving. This machine is designed as a generator that generates electricity and charges the car battery.
The technology that is included in the realm of hybrid cars is claimed to have the advantages of fuel efficiency and electric power. The principle of e-POWER technology is to move the car’s wheels 100 percent from an electric battery whose power is supplied from a conventional fuel engine. This means that the combustion engine is designed as a generator to produce electric power that fills the battery.

The electric power enters the battery from the AC current which is then forwarded to the inverter to be converted into DC current then flows the power to the electric motor and drives the wheels. Thus, a car with e-POWER technology does not require an external charger to charge the lithium-ion battery on-board. As long as the conventional combustion engine is filled with fuel, the electric battery will continue to produce power.
The concept of performance like this is claimed to be more practical than an Electronic Vehicle (EV) or an electric car that must charge with the help of an external charger. Moreover, there are not many charging spot facilities available throughout Indonesia. This makes Nissan confident in marketing car products with e-POWER technology. Moreover, it is said that e-POWER technology is arguably the right intermediary for the transition from conventional fuel cars to fully electric cars.

the car with e-POWER can accelerate even without a sound, with abundant torque flowing to the wheels. When the car is going through an incline and requires traction, the electric motor receives power from the battery and engine to improve its performance. Because the system is hybrid, the car battery with e-POWER technology is relatively smaller and lighter so it doesn’t overload the overall weight.

As an innovative technology for mobility solutions for Indonesians, Nissan will soon launch the Nissan Kikcs e-POWER in Indonesia. Where some time ago Nissan Indonesia has also done a test drive on another model, the Nissan Note e-POWER, although there have not been any rumors about its launch here.
