The Toyota Supra is arguably one of the most iconic cars of the 2000s. It is undeniable that his fame increased after appearing in the first film Fast and Furious. The former Supra presented a racing style car with a 2JZ engine which has now become a legend. The latest generation Supra, which was introduced in March 2019, was quite shocking in the automotive world, in collaboration with BMW using the Z4 chassis, the latest Supra received various kinds of responses from positive to negative. It seems that some people still can’t move on from the look and power of the old Supra like the A80 model.
At the 2019 SEMA, Toyota presents various kinds of modified Toyota Supra, one of which is the GR Supra Heritage Edition. Heritage Edition tries to give a nostalgic impression by bringing some of the characteristics of its predecessor. The highlight given in the edition produced by the Motorsport Technical Center (MTC) and LG Motorsport is how it looks. Both the front and rear lights have been customized to resemble the lamps of the Supra MK4 A80.
The inside of the lamp is made like a spotlight with a lens, the modifier makes it with acrylic molded by CNC machines.
The body of the car also gets an updated body kit, front splitter, diffuser and rear wing all made by MTC. MTC said that the rear wing was taken directly from the Supra MK4 part, it’s just that it has been adjusted so that it fits in the GR Supra 2020.
Even though it doesn’t use the 2JZ engine, the B58 engine in this edition has received modifications especially in the turbocharger which now produces 18% more airflow into the engine. In addition, custom intakes, exhausts and ECUs from Mission Performance have also been added. The result is a 3 liter engine capable of creating a power of around 500HP.

To handle that extra power, the Toyo Proxes R888R performance tires paired with 19-inch HRE P107SC rims are the best choice. To make the car stop in time, Brembo’s 380mm monoblock 6-piston brakes were chosen to do the job. Coilovers from TEIN were also chosen to lower the car’s height to the right amount.
With the presence of the Toyota GR Supra Heritage Edition, it is hoped that it will be able to inspire modification for Supra owners or prospective buyers who want to propose to this car but are still a little unable to move-on from the previous generation Supra.
